"Battle For Our Youth"

Joel 1: 3 “Tell it to your children, and let your children tell it to their children, and their children to the next generation.

Awakening Ministries invites you to stop for a minute (take time out of your busy schedule) and take a look around. Think about what you are seeing! Can’t you see what’s taking place in our world today? There’s crime, abusive language, abusive actions, self-centeredness, and hatred passed down from generation to generation…

2 Timothy 3:2, “People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self control, brutal, not lovers of good.”

It would appear that we have lost our morals, beliefs and values. What kind of example are we (adults) setting for the youth of this world? God tells us to set an example…

1 Timothy 4:12, “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example to them that believe, in word, in manner of life, in love, in faith, in purity.”

Awakening Ministries knows that youth (our children) are given to us from God…

Psalms 127:3, “Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from Him.”

We have been charged by God to make sure they stay on the straight and narrow path…

Proverbs 22:6, “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.”

We understand that the youth of today have many more temptations and trials facing them on a daily basis than we (adults) did as young people. We must never loose sight of the fact that Satan works through our children to defy and draw us away from our Savior…

Jeremiah 9:21, “For death has crept in through our windows and has entered our mansions. It has killed off the flower of our youth; Children no longer play in the streets, and young men no longer gather in the squares.”

Awakening Ministries is aware that many young people face temptations today that are amplified by television, media, peer pressure and society as a whole…

Ecclesiastes 12:1, “Don’t let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor him in your youth before you grow old and no longer enjoy living.”

The results; many of our youth are turning away from God, their parents and running wild living a life of sin…

Romans 7:11, “For sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, deceived me, and through the commandment put me to death.”

They’re so involved in the world; our youth have lost sight of truth and righteousness! But why is this happening? Jesus Christ told us that this would happen…

Mark 13:12, “Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death.”

So why then are we surprised? We need to take back what Satan has stolen… Our Children! How do we do that? Start by teaching, rebuking, correcting and training our children in the name of Jesus Christ…

2 Timothy 3:16, “All scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.”

Awakening Ministries believes it’s time to get back to the basics, take back our children from the clutches of Satan and lies of this world. We need to stop using worldly items as televisions, friends, and shopping malls as a tool for raising our children. We need to be parents…

1 Timothy 3:4, “He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him with proper respect.”

God tells us in the Bible what He expects from us as parents…

Proverbs 13:24. “He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is careful to discipline him.”

We as adults (parents) not only have a responsibility to God, but to our children as well…

Ephesians 6:4, “Fathers, do not exasperate your children, instead bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.”

When we fail our children are we not failing God? We as parents have been given the tools that we need by God to raise our children, but so many fail to apply that, which is provided, to us by God…

Deuteronomy 32:46, “He said to them, take to heart all the words I have solemnly declared to you this day, so that you may command your children to obey carefully all the words of this law.”

Awakening Ministries believes that it’s time to unite as the family of God, standing strong in our faith and battle the forces that attack our youth…

1 Corinthians 15:34, “Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning, for there are some who are ignorant of God.”

We know that the word of God tells us not to forsake our youth or to mislead them, but rather teach, guide and train them! Awakening Ministries is here to help educate and support those who need us! Standing united and strong, we as Christians can bring our children back from the clutches of Satan.
