The Bible tells us that Jesus
Christ is and should be the center of Christianity;
“I am the
way and the truth and the life, No one comes to the Father
except through me”.
John 14:6 (NIV)
Jesus in the only way
that man can have a relationship with our Father in Heaven!
It has become apparent that mankind has forgotten that Jesus
Christ is the one and only link between God and man.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever,
never changing, always loving and always calling men to God.
These are not my words, but words coming from the living
God, documented within the scriptures!
How do we know that
the Bible is true? God is righteous:
" For
the Lord is Righteous"
Psalms
11:7 (NIV)
The Dictionary (Merriam-Webster
Online) defines
righteous as: "acting
in accord with divine or moral law : free
from guilt or sin" which means God can't lie.
God is perfect: "Be
perfect therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect"
Matthew 5:48
(NIV) The
Dictionary (Merriam-Webster
Online) defines
perfect as: "being
entirely without fault or defect".
The Bible is the
living Word of God:
"For
the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any
double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and
spirit, joints and marrow: it judges the thoughts and
attitudes of the heart".
Hebrews
4:12(NIV)
So
we find that the Bible is the infallible Word of God: "As
for God, his way is perfect: the word of the Lord is
flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in
him". 2
Samuel 22:31 (NIV)
The biggest problems Christians encounter
with Ministries and/or Churches are their interpretations of the scriptures. The
Bible tells us not to compromise the word of God,
"Do
your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a
workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly
handles the word of truth".
2 Timothy 2:15 (NIV).
Yet
mankind in our egotistical ways has spent centuries adding
our own interpretations to the scriptures. Why are we adding to
or taking away from the word of God?
I know that the answers to all of our questions are
documented and found within the pages of scriptures. We just
need
to open our hearts and listen closely to the Holy
Spirit: "But
the counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in
my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of
everything I have said to you".
John 14:26(NIV)
Christians must not allow ourselves to be caught up in
man’s interpretations, denominations or doctrinal issues,
but rather, we must share the word of the living God and
deliver His message.
Each one of us needs to spend time daily in the
scriptures, reading, examining, and exploring the word of
God. The important part of this process is to allow the Holy
Spirit to teach us as we keep our minds and hearts open to
accept the knowledge and love God wants to share with all of
His Children.
"My
purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united
in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete
understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of
God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of
wisdom and knowledge".
Colossians
2:2 (NIV)
